US delegation headed by Bolton is visiting Turkey to discuss the Syrian file
US Secretary of State for National Security John Bolton began a tour of the Middle East on Friday to visit Israel and Turkey to discuss a range of issues, including Syria and Iran.
Bolton will discuss with Israel and Turkey the developments of the Syrian crisis and continue to fight Da’ash to prevent its resurgence.
Bolton wrote on Thursday in Twitter that the US delegation to Turkey will include the special envoy of the US Secretary of State to Syria, James Jeffrey, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, Joseph Donford.
“Tomorrow, I will leave for Israel and Turkey to discuss the withdrawal of US forces from Syria, how we will work with allies and partners to prevent the rebirth of Da’ash, and we intend to defend the positions of those who fought alongside us and ways to counter the malicious Iranian activity in the region.”
