The Saudi embassy in Turkey denies the presence of military forces in Syria
The Saudi embassy in Turkey issued a statement denying the existence of Saudi forces in Syria and that the news media and websites reported that there is no truth about it.
The embassy said in a statement published on Monday on its official website: “The media and websites reported on the presence of military forces belonging to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the north-east of Syria.”
“The embassy confirms that there is no truth to this news at all. There are no Saudi military forces in Syria.”
The embassy called on the media to “investigate the accuracy and integrity of the news from its reliable sources.”
It should be noted that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that a convoy of forces belonging to an Arab Gulf state recently arrived in the seam zone between the “Syrian Democratic Forces” and “Da’ash” organization in Deir al-Zour.
