Erdogan: International summit about Syria with the participation of Russia, Germany and France

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that “Istanbul will host an international summit in September with the participation of  Russia, Germany and France, which will discuss the current situation in Syria.”

“The parties will also discuss the agenda of the upcoming tripartite summit about Syria, in which Turkey, Russia and Iran will participate,” Turkish newspapers reported President Erdogan as saying the Quartet summit would be held on September 7.

Turkey had earlier held talks with Russia and Iran under the name of the negotiations, “Astana”, resulting in an agreement for four areas to reduce the escalation, after the agreement of the Guarantor States (Russia, Turkey and Iran).
