US senator: It would be “terrible” if we left Manbij
“The withdrawal of US troops from Syria would be terrible,” US Senator Lindsey Graham said during a visit to the city of Manbij on Monday.
“I will tell President Donald Trump that it is important that we stay here to help you. You are the friends of the United States. If we left, it would be terrible,” US Senator Lindsey Graham told the Associated Press. Graham made the remarks during a visit to the northern city of Manbij accompanied by his Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen.
US and French troops from the international coalition are still stationed in Manbij, where the Pentagon has insisted that it wants to keep its presence there until it has completely defeated the Da’ash organization.
